Real Restaurant, Lincoln Station

Lincoln Stations' only bar restaurant in the town center was standing bare and idle until Lincoln Station Partners saw the potential. A team of passionate clients came together with considerable expertise in the culinary arts to establish a foot hold in this quiet, rural suburban hamlet to share the love of local sourcing and seasonal foods.  The underlying Scandinavian direction and multi chefs talent was a perfect setting for Lincoln's agricultural heritage.

All of the craftsmanship, materials and finishes were informed by a simple Nordic approach to both food and function. We took an earthy yet sophisticated orientation and created a subtle tension by combining the partners' original collection of contemporary art by master Bauhaus artist and famed Yale educator Joseph Albers. This was an easy selection given the context and close proximity to Bauhaus’s trophy Gropius House and must see Decordova Museum down the road. The acoustics were one of the biggest challenges in the shell of this cozy space - which lended to wrapping the entire space in wood and upholstering the ceiling. Soft lighting and intimate candle lit dining accompanied by a zinc wrapped bar have held this little gem of a restaurant with high regards by the understated beauty of Lincoln township - where town and county residents covet tables.
